SCREENINGS IN SXSW & GUADALAJARA
In March Constructing Albert continued its festival run with screenings in prestigious Austin's SXSW and Guadalajara FICG!
SXSW is one of the most interesting cultural festivals in the United States. A macro festival with sections ranging from cinema and music to interative, VR, gaming and top conferences, workshops and round tables about all kind of subjects. On March 12th for instance SXSW atendees could not only see our documentary but also attend a conference by chef José Andres (featured in Constructing Albert) about how To Chnage the World through Food. Super interesting! We had the oportunity to travel to Austin, there we are with coproducer Marianne Ostrat from Alexandra Film just before the last screening of the film at the Stateside Theatre where we did a Q&A with the audience. First time in Austin and the SXSW and we have to say it is highly recomendable.
Parallely on the 12th and 13th of April the film got screened at the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG). This was a special year because Catalonia was Guest of Honour and many catalan productions were screened at this top Latin American Festival. The Institut Ramon Llull and Catalan Films & TV organised a comittee of catalan filmmakers who had the chance not only to show their films to the Mexican audiences but to also networking and establish links with Mexican and Latin American colleagues encouraging future collaborations and coproductions.
